Black Tea
Lapsang Souchong (smoked black tea)- Black tea (as well as white, green, oolong, yellow and pu’erh tea) is made from the Camellia sinensis plant. The different types of tea vary depending on the process and level of oxidation; black tea is the most oxidized of all the types of tea and generally contains more caffeine. Black tea contains powerful antioxidants that support overall health. Lapsang Souchong is a type of dark and smoky black tea who’s unique, wood-fire flavor comes from being delicately smoked over pine bark and needles. This tea is grown in Fujian Province of China, which is where lapsang souchong originated.
Cacao
Cacao beans have a long history that dates back to Central and South America before 1500 BC. The Mayan, Olmec, and Aztec civilizations all used the entire cacao medicinally and as a beverage. Each culture added their own twist with varying spices and flavors. There are small amounts of endorphins (pain killing hormones that occur naturally in the body) present in cacao.
