Peppermint
Peppermint - Peppermint is valued for many reasons, but most importantly it’s ability to relieve gas and bloating. It’s also antimicrobial, antispasmodic, and great for pain relief. Historically highly valued by the Greeks and Romans. Dried leaves were even found in Egyptian pyramids from around 1000 BC.
Licorice
Licorice - A sweet, tasty herb that soothes the stomach, stabilizes blood sugar, supports hormone function, and much more. Also a very powerful anti-inflammatory and one of the most commonly used herbs in European herbal medicine. It has been used medicinally for thousands of years.
Chamomile
Chamomile - This beautiful flower is excellent for calming the nervous system and reducing anxiety. It is also anti-inflammatory, supports the immune system, and aids in digestive upset. The ancient Egyptians, Greeks, and Romans all viewed chamomile as an important medicinal herb and detailed it in their medical literature.
Fennel
Fennel - Fennel seeds are great at soothing digestive upset by reducing bloating & distention. Studies have shown that fennel has a calming action on smooth muscles, which may explain how it restores health to the digestive tract. Roman warriors ate fennel to provide courage and wore wreaths of its leaves. It supports normal digestive activity.
