Herb Highlights
Black Tea
Black Tea - Black tea (as well as white, green, oolong, yellow and pu’erh tea) is made from the Camellia Sinensis plant. The different types of tea vary depending on the process and level of oxidation; black tea is the most oxidized of all the types of tea and generally contains more caffeine. Black tea contains powerful antioxidants that support overall health. The black tea we use is a Ceylon tea which is a classic black (also called red) tea with a smooth taste that is not too bitter. This tea is expertly tended and harvested at high elevations in Sri Lanka (once known as Ceylon) which is where it gets it’s name.
